j9fd3s, I'm currently doing two engine rebuilds for two REPUs. If you've got any questions, I'm usually out there somewhere on one of these forums.
I'd like to do a partial bridgeport on both engines. We've got Holley double pumpers which, according to peejay, can be used on a rotary if you cut a channel to join both primaries together. Both secondaries together too. |
yeah, i'm not sure what to do with the engine. i'm tempted to restore it to stock (bead blast everything, replate the hardware etc) but we'll see what kinda shape its in
mike |
I would consider restoring it.The REPU is a hard vehicle to come by these days and to be lucky enough to find one in that good of shape is worth fixing.Just give the motor a overhaul and get the body restored with new paint and plating on it where needed.

Bitch!!!!! I need that

Here's another way to be lazy (other than not removing the oil pump drive sproket). You don't need to remove the hood to get an engine out of an REPU. I've never had to, anyway. I usually just remove the passenger tire so the legs of the engine crane can more easily be moved around, or not (sorta depends on the mood at the time). I've done two REPUs by myself and helped a friend do his without having to remove any hoods. Just thought you'd like to know, what with all the laziness going around. *yawn* https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Looks good mike. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif I haven't ever seen one in real life.. (that I'm aware of..) so, if I were you.. I would just fix it back to it's stock form.. oh yea, how much do they want for it?
