I got called cheap for thinking that two vintage replica decals for the repu are too much at $75.

Is it just me or does that seem like alot of dough for stickers?

Seem like alot of money but to a restorer if they are true OEM parts than they will pay that price to make it that much more complete.

Yeah I thought the price was real pricey.. unfortunately most of us have no choice..

Yeah Dave and I both got our ass jumped for making that observance. The guy borderlines the price to the high side of what they would sell for.

For $25 less than these stickers sell solid FC motor mounts. They didn't take as much research time but they are more in material cost and the time it takes to make them. And they will last a lot longer than a sticker. But I still make a reasonable profit. Could they be copied, hell yeah. Could I sell them for more? Yes but I am content with the profit and people feeling like they got a real good deal. Hell these mounts are nothing new to begin with, but neither are stickers.

It's not like either of us redesigned and built a new rotor housing. Neither are rocket science. Both take a working knowledge and equipment.

The only thing I can think of to justify this is that the guy knows in reality that someone could scan copy his stickers and that they could sell dupes without all the footwork he did to make his original sets.

But as far as being called cheap by a couple of guys with more trucks on blocks that running is not something I would lose any sleep over https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I don't think the sticker guy is going over the deep end on his price but I can't help but think he is making a big profit margin. That's his business but it does not mean that I am cheap because I read the writing on the wall either. And it's not like I am somebody that sits back and never produced anything myself. The same can be said for Dave (FDBoost)
