good luck finding a rusty, non-running one with a clean title for much less than $2k. Parts are really hard to find for them and the parts you can find are expensive. If you want a nice condition REPU for under $2k, prepare to custom fab everything instead of buying. Maybe if you already had the REPU you could do a somewhat decent restoration for 2 grand.

Yup.. Sometimes on Ebay you may see a complete truck goin for Maye $2k-$3k.. that would be for one in good comdition with all the parts on it.. But it may still require some restoration since rust is all most guaranteed.. and maybe the engine would need some freshening up.. So you would be looking at another $2k to $5k depending on what you need done and how bad it is..



I've spent near $3k on mine and it doesn't even run.. and lloks like poop.. But then again My truck wasn't a good candidate for restoration.. So you would have to watch out for that too...

Dang, i had no clue they were so expensive and what not. That's obscene.

it's not so much that they are expensive, it's just that most of the ones found need lots of work to do it right.. You could half ass it and have it look ok for a year or two and then run into problems and have to spend on it again.. but if you initailly spend the cash on the build up, then you will just have to maintain it.. plus the price may stay reasonable if you do most of the stuff yourself..

If you want to do a proper restoration, money should not be a concern.
