Anyone deal with Banzai Racing? Is this a reputable place to deal with?

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this vendor since I havent heard much of them.

Dave G. 02-05-2008 08:37 PM

Banzai is good people. I have known him for quite a few years now and he's safe to buy from with good stuff.

vosko 02-06-2008 10:01 PM

which banzai ? link?

i think there is more than one

banzaitoyota 02-09-2008 07:37 AM

Banzai Racing is based in Indianna.

Banzaitoyota is Me, and my website is Rotaryinnovations.

RONIN FC 02-13-2008 07:22 PM

I ordered motor mount adaptors, recieved them quick.

The quality, fit, and finish of the parts leave much to be desired. Sloppy cuts, parts were painted over welding splatter, and grime in general. 5 mins at a wire wheel before painting is all it would have taken if your bieng lazy. But not even that.

I would avoid buying from them in the future.

RONIN FC 02-16-2008 03:47 PM

This mount looks as if it was made with scrap material...

You get what you pay for.

Looks like about 10 bucks worth of steel, and just as much in labour.

That doesnt look like $220 of work jackass! In fact, im having some made and its not gonna cost me that much.

ColinRX7 02-16-2008 04:53 PM

You paid 220 bucks for 1/8" thick piece of scrap? LOL

Do you know how many more sets they will build with your 220 bucks? At least they understand what the term profit margin means.

Are welders hard to come by in the US, or what?!

Not at all hard to come by, but the time for me to mock it up is.

Dave G. 02-16-2008 09:33 PM

Yeah I was referring to Banzai Toyota...

I used to make those mounts when I was running FC3S.org, and those pics are awful!

sen2two 02-16-2008 10:29 PM

Banzai-racing is the ****!!! everything i have bought from them is top quality.

motor mounts. tranny mounts. diff brace. oil pan brace S5 TII apexi adapter. and more!!!

they always respond extremely fast with questions. i even had technical questions answered by them not refering at all to what i bought from them.

Hey, its my camera phone. Not known for the greatest pics. I think it still shows some fucked up work.

I did go with them primarily on your recommendation. If you were still making mounts I wouldnt be going through this. So, its all your fault!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif

There, I feel better, I displaced the blame.

Dave G. 02-16-2008 11:49 PM

Sorry, I thought the initial question was asking about Banzaitoyota...I didn't know there was another banzai lol

My bad https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

I don't know about any of their stuff, but from those pictures I wouldn't be pleased as a customer. I could be wrong, but they don't look that strong. I see parts that aren't even welded.

banzaitoyota 02-17-2008 06:09 PM

For Clarification, I BANZAITOYOTA do not sell motor mounts

You should sue them for libel.

RONIN FC 02-25-2008 04:51 PM

Well, I got an e-mail from Banzai-Racing (not BanzaiToyota) and their working on new mount brackets and say they will send me a new and improved set.

They may redeem themselves after all.

bluetii 03-25-2008 06:59 AM

It seems that you are really quick about posting up pictures of the parts that we sent you in error, but not posting pics of the real brackets that were sent out to you.

This guy never once contacted us to talk about these brackets either, we figured out that he had recieved them and contact him. We also sent out a new set with a postage prepaid label to return the previous ones, never received those back either. We know for a fact that he received them. Quite honestly I would stay away from doing business with this guy ever again.

Wish i could have seen this earlier.

Couldnt leave well enough alone could ya? Im sorry I didnt bend over backwards to make you happy after the crap you sent me... You didnt find out the error, you found out the hard way... Vendor Feedback on Nopistons.com, or one of several other forums I posted that disgrace of a fabrication on. From here to aussieland, it known...

The next set of mounts you sent me were crap too! Partially welded on one side, warped from heat, A PIECE OF LOOSE PIPE CUT TO ACT AS A SPACER!! Cmon man, those things got ebayed off the the highest bidder...

What I should have done is send those mounts to a couple vendors (and I was contacted by them!)that wanted to copy their dimensions. But I didnt do that out of the little respect I had left because of your willingness to do right. Then you post this bullshit.

But what im gonna do... Is repost pictures of those mounts...

You wait nearly a year to respond, give me a break.

Here are pics of what he received. Hardly half welded. Our brackets are fabricated from laser cut & CNC punched 11GA Steel. They are then press brake formed and TIG welded. Brackets are finished with a Bright Zinc plating to prevent corrosion.

Do you guyz make MOUNTS for FD3S 13B-REW motor to fit into a FC TurboII body..???

mazdaspeed7 01-25-2009 07:15 PM

I make the REW FC mounts. PM me if you want a set, Ive got 2 in stock.

Cykodagr8 10-16-2011 09:14 AM

i just installed their polyurethane motor mounts and i can say that the improvements it made in my car is substantial. i also received the mounts faster than mazdacomps factory race trans mount, which i ordered at a earlier date. i would recommend the mounts to anyone. as to any of their other parts i can not make a comment on as i havent gotten anything else, but if it is of the same quality, then it is worth checking out.
