To be 100% honest I'm not a fan of the paint job either, but gunmetal looks good with yellow and it looks good with black so I think he'll be fine. Definately 18's though
Yep...I bought Marks car last year about this time and have been adding to it since I bought it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I was thinking 18x9 fronts and 18x10 rears https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Incidently, when I first saw pics of the paint job I really didnt care for it....you just have to see it in person https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
I have. It looks good, Mark did a great job on the entire car.
FYI...I just got 18x9.5's on all 4 corners. They will fit if you get a +50 offset. And you can rotate them https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
gunmetal is nice ass hell on any color........ what color is your car?
Take a look at my pics
where am i gunna look at your pics?
Top post https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
93 R1 you convinced me...I think I will go 18x9 front and 18x10 rear with 42mm front and 37mm rear https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png |
yup wheels will look good on your car....... dman that was a lil ass link
Actually with the Teins you have you *could* run 18x10's on all 4 corners if you really want to be a pimp. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Think I will have to raise my FD a little?
Probably not. Theres quite a few guys running 18x10+50 with 285/30/18 on all 4 corners.
This is wierd. I saw that car on my math teachers computer. I have to agree with Damir though. He needs to pick one color and stay with it. Unless you are trying out for a lead role in the next Fast and the Furious https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png
So you think I should go +50 for the rears? After poking around awhile for the wheels I came up with +37 for a good offset
Actually, do you know hoe much they paid people for their cars if they used it everyday????....hmmmmmm new race port engine https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png |
You don't have to but if you do go +50 then you can rotate them. If you aren't worried about rotating them then stick with the 18x9 and 18x10
I dont drive it enought to rotate them https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png....now my wheels are done....what to buy next????? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
Sorry to bring this back up but do you think I will have to roll the fenders or have rubbing issues with the rears and running 285/30 tires?
yes you have to roll your fenders
I assume it is best to bring it to a shop with the new wheels on to roll the fender or is it best (dont even know if it is possible) to have it rolled with the old wheels on?
Incidently, I dont trust myself with a baseball bat https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
you may not have to roll your fenders to run 285 on the back, several have not had to with the max cooper fitment 18x10 / 285s
I believe Max Cooper started the move to 18X10 with +50. Contact him and ask him if he had to roll the fenders or not. I get the impression he did not. 18 X 10 Fitment
The thing is that you won't need a 50+ offset for the back. You could go with a 43 or 37 (with rolling) with the 18x10's but the problem most people face is the offset for the front wheels. If you use the 18x10's for the front, a 50+ offset will be required. The back is not the problem (regarding offset), it's the front. Lets face it, the chances are pretty damn good that you'll have to roll the fenders if you go with a 9.5 and above width for the back.
I went 18x9 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png So hopefully I will be all good....thanks for all the help guys!!!
With the fronts I mean
