I need new tires, but I wouldn't mind buying some used tires on used rims if the price is about the same as new tires. Anyways, I'm interested in this e-bay ad. Should they fit my FC with Eibach springs and AGXs?
|
that is alot of meat..... they will rub
|
Too bad.. I would have picked the wheels up off ya.
|
Damn.
|
He must be a scammer. The ad says Houston, but when I asked about shipping, he said he'd ship them from Italy, give me a tracking number, then I am to pay with money order. If I don't pay within 7 days, he would report me. Hah! Plus he has no previous history on e-bay.
Is that enough info to report him to e-bay? |
Hell yea! Burn his ass. sssssssss https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/flamed.gif

Ok, how about these, should they fit?
I am selling the wheels and tires off my 99 GT, the tires are 245-45-17 Goodyear eagles F1s, with more then half the tread left, and the wheels are in good shape. The car only has 47,000 miles on it. One wheel has some road rash, but they all ride fine on the car. I would like to see around 300 dollars for the wheels and tires. Buyer pays shipping. I live in VA, 24502. I can ship them through my work fed ex, and it will save the buyer some on shipping. thanks Kyle |
those will work. tires too depending how much your car is lowered

That's what I was wondering about, the tires. I have the eibach's with agx's, I don't think it's lowered much, but then again I don't remember what stock looked like. What do you think, should the tires fit?
kahren has that setup with 225/45 and it fits. i think it will be fine.... buy it and find out. 245/40 are not tall at all on a 17x8. i have been testing all sorts of fitments on my 240.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif |
The fronts will clear the springs but might rub the fender slightly. If you roll the front fender you should be o.k. I ran my 245/45/17 mustang tires and rims on my FC with Racing beat springs and AGX's and got just a hint of rubbing.
|
I have a set of 225/45 Yokohama tires I can sell you for about $150 if your interested. Here is a link to the pics of the tires and treadwear.
http://www.jims5543.com/gallery/2001-Audi-A-6?page=2 FYI - The rims will not fit your car. |
Thanks for the offer, but honestly I don't have the money. After this wheel purchase, I need to save some dough for the hotel in Tavares. If I have to roll the fenders, I'll take a shot at the baseball bat method until I can afford an alternative.

I'll be paying for these at the end of the week. The guy can get them shipped FedEx for $48!! through his work. I'm excited to see how these work out, and to have some piece of mind that I won't go sliding into cars on rainy days. I'm pretty sure anything is better than the tires I have on the car now.
