I think I'm about to do a 5-lug conversion, and I'm shopping for tires. Right now I'm favoring the Yokohama AVS dB's. I will never drive in snow. Does anyone have any experience with these? The price is right, but how's the handling? What about tread life? Any input is appreciated.

Tread life can be found in the specs on the sidewall. Its usually one of the things they list when you shop online for tires as well.
Higher that number, the longer the life. |
i think i have avs's on my fc, they are great, quiet and they have good grip. i dunno about wet, they havent been yet.

I think treadlife on my kuhmos is 300. In comparison, most R compounds have a 50 treadwear rating.
