these are my wheel sizes:

front 17x8 +35

rear 17x9 +34

current tires are:

front 235/45

rear 255/40

is that as wide as i can go?

thanks

the tire sizes you have are good. i wouln't go any bigger on those wheels.

now just buy some new tires https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

i agree.... for the size of your rims, the tires in your rims are good..... if you really wanna go bigger, then maybe 265 rears

vosko 01-31-2006 08:52 PM

i would go 225/45 and 255/40

but that is me

what about Kumho Ecsta SPT?

i would go for the proven MX. the SPT is a new tire and would be somewhat of a gamble. the SPT looks more like an all season then something oriented for more sport driving like the MX.

since your car is pretty much a daily driver and a fast one at that... and also putting into consideration that wider tires tend to hydroplane more frequently...

why dont you look into goodyear gsd3 they're pretty sticky for street tires (vosko has tried them on my car) and they are great when its wet also.

no power steering and 255's up front isnt such a great idea since you're already complaining about your steering now, and i dont know bout 255's on 17x8" rims
