Hey out there....!

Which tire do you think is the best for a street application? Which one gives the most grip, the most feel and look good too??

I went with the Yokohama AVS Intermediate were cheap($60) and will get me by until I get new wheels. Have put about 4000 miles on them and have no complaints. Went from FL to WI. Had no problems in rain like some did on the tirerack survey.

I believe Mazda selected the stock tires for low weight as well as good handling. Does anyone know if there is a web site you can view to find out how much the typical RX7 brands weigh? Eg Bridgestones, Yokohamas, Goodrich's, Nittos etc.

The kumho ecsta supra 712 seems to be the best bang for the buck. They look good and handles well in dry roads.

Nitto 555 drag radials are real sticky on the street. I like them. They dont give and slide as much as the 455's

I enjoyed the slide.

potenza S-O3's or g-force tdw but both cost $$$$

I primarily drag race, so I chose Nitto 555R 275/45 R 17's for the back and Bridgestone G-Grid II 235/45 R 17's for the front. Not recommended to mix and match tires/sizes, but I have fully adjustable shocks w/ dampener adjustment and a brake balancer. My car handles better than a stock car(obviously) and can go around turns very well balanced due to the suspension/brake tweaking. If I did circuit, I would probably choose 4X 275/45 Nitto's. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif
