Looking to acquire a Tilton multiplate carbon/carbon for my FD. I'd like to deal with a shop that's done the conversion before to eliminate any serious downtime/re-engineering on my part. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Damn someone is spending some serious money. You have a link to the Tilton for the FD?

Michel,

A friend of mine is running it in his 20B FD....he sez it's very on/off in activation. Good for track but PITA for anything else. I've not driven his car so I can't comment but I do notice he no longers drives his car in/out of the trailer. He either pushes or winches it. FWIW.

Is he using the new carbon/carbon or the "old" ceramic stuff? Tilton actually emphasizes that the carbon setup can be slipped and is very driveable. How much effort is involved in retrofitting to an FD?

Actually there's no link for the Tilton...trying to find a shop that knows what I need to purchase for the swap. They advertise kits for various other makes including (obviously) the Supra, the NSX (that'll hold 1100ft lbs of torque even though there's only one NSX in the world that'll make anywhere close to that torque level) various Honduhs and even Subaru WRX but no FD. Go figure. I do know people have used Tiltons in FD as Hedge has pointed out. I figure it'll be just about the last clutch I'll ever need. My ACT is holding up just fine at 400+RWHP but it doesn't like to be slipped AT ALL.
