I have no idea if Stoptech is a re-badged Brembo caliper, however, the rotors are definitely not.

hummm

Well I picked up some like new calipers with a overhaul thats happening now, for $450. I already have the big rotors, so it should be cool.

I just heard a lot of the Brembo parts are interchangable and I was wondering if anyone stateside heard this.

Stoptech uses their own calipers which look similar to the Brembos. They machine out their own bores per car/master cylinder specs and have a proprietary bridge on top that really strengthens the caliper and prevents flexing. Rotors are fully floating units. IMHO, they make the best stuff on the market, especially for street cars and for track day cars as well.

damn I forgot about this thread.

Well for $100 I couldnt resist hehe, I actually stole them off a porche that couldnt drive, so hopefully after the overhaul they will be sweet.

Im getting ready to ditch the ABS and shite, so I figured this will be the perfect time.

Your using AP now right? How do they compare to the stoptech? seriously...

I have only drove GTRs with Alcon and Brembo, ALCON are way better stopping and smooth.

I was going to get AP racing ones brand new, but my buddy couldnt beat the $100 for new ones hehe

I know you said they are the best, any more info on driving with them?

Stoptech isn't rebadged Brembo, I've driven a Carrera (hard)with them on and the performed amazingly. I've also driven a Viper with Brembo's Gran Turismo system and they didn't feel any better or worse then the Stoptechs.

BTW, iforged is KNOCK OFF, REBADGED BULLSHIT off of HRE, and that's something you shouldn't buy. Especially since they're prices aren't any better then HRE's.

I HATE fake ****, HRE took the time, money, and creative effort to create a line second to none, and then you have some dickhead money hungry assholes copying them.

Exhibit 3: Look at the centercaps of the above pics, they're the same.

BTW, I just chose those two rims to compare, but the Seneka from iForged is the 540R and so on.
