Might get a set of rims for my FC. THe front are 17X8 +27 offset and rear are 17X9 35+ offset. ALL 114.3 / 5





I did some calculations using the backspacing of the stock wheels and look like the rims should fit with no problems, spacially in the fronts.



Any comments ???

What is the factory size of the FC rims (width/offset)?

i would say..... get the rims, and if dont fit....... ghetto roll the fenders

STOCK 16 X 7 +40mm offset

The rear should be good, but the fronts will stick out very far. Go with +35 in the front as well.

lemme try and post some numbers for you to measure

WHEEL 1: 16x7 +40

Dist. hub from centerline: 40mm

Dist. inner lip to hub: 128.9 mm

Dist. outer lip to hub: 48.9 mm



WHEEL 2: 17x8 +27

Dist hub from centerline: 27mm

Dist. inner lip to hub: 128.6mm

Dist. outer lip to hub: 74.6mm



WHEEL 3: 17x9 +35

Dist hub from centerline: 35mm

Dist. inner lip to hub: 149.3mm

Dist. outer lip to hub: 79.3mm



TO MEASURE:

WHEEL 2: 17x8 +27 is:

0.3mm further from the strut

25.7mm closer to the fender lip



WHEEL 3: 17x9 +35 is:

20.4mm closer to the strut

30.4mm closer to the fender lip



Remember that there are 25.4 mm in an inch. Disclaimer: Please don't use my calculations as a bible, I may have messed up somewhere.. (I doubt it, but hey.)

Damn, some one went calculator crazy.. Good info on the size and conversion factors though.. Maybe with some more info in here we can have this topic pinned..

Haha, no, I wrote an MS Excel spreadsheet that did the calculation for me. All I did was plug in the width and offset.. the diameter is just for fun. I've been intending to put it in HTML or VB form, but I'm lazy.
