well, as i was ghetto rolling my rear fenders..... cuz i noticed that the driver side never rubs.... and the the passenger side sometimes rub (rear wheels). i noticed that i can easily fit a lil league bat on the passenger side, and couldnt fit the same bat on the driver side. there is about .5 inch difference on both sides. according to bobby its because i dont have the stock cat back anymore, and the stock catback was pretty heavy. or could it be that my springs are already dead? just a curiousity question, cuz the springs are gunna get replaced soon anyways

doubt it martin..

weight difference isnt substantial enough to produce that much of a gap...not to mention the weight is distributed..

id suspect the struts..

I think it's a design thing. I seem to recall a thread on the other forum a while back...

Since the Japanese expect a driver to weigh down the right side of the car, they made the left a little lower when there is no driver in the car. Put a in the right side, move the steering column and pedals to the right side and voila, car rides level and balanced.

so you're saying its a normal thing?

No goddamn way. As stiff as the suspension is in our cars the added weight of the driver won't make one side lower then the other. I weigh about 175 and my car doesn't sag when I get in it.

I'm in NJ right now, without my car, but when I get back I'll look at my car to verify. Didn't you say your alignment was all fucked up? Thats a possible cause. Also has your car ever been wrecked?

FikseRxSeven 09-04-2003 09:44 PM

yes alignment is fucked up, and yes it was in a wreck, where in nj are you in?

93 R1 09-04-2003 09:54 PM

Only till tomorrow. I'd swing by Union, but I go through PA to get home, and Union isn't on the way.

I come up here a few times a year for training, I'll catch up with you eventually.
