I just picked up a set of JIC's and was wondering how to adjust ride height with them on the car. Can this be done?

It can be done with them on the car but you'll have to remove the wheel. Us the two supplied wrenches to unscrew the top one and screw down the bottome one. Lower the springs and take a measurement somehow (like bottom of threads to bottom of spring). Remount the wheel and check the gap. Match L/R fronts and L/R rears. Make sure to tighten/lock the spring perch nuts when you're done.



You shouldn't go lower then 2 fingers for street use unless you don't mind replacing crushed parts. Remember, the lower you go the stiffer your suspension needs to be.

Adjusting the spring perch height will decrease the amount the piston can move. Not desirable. Put them on the car and see where the car needs to be raised/lowered after the suspension has settled in. Then put the car back up and adjust the height with the shock body. The will be better than losing piston movement. I know when I installed them on my old FC the whole setup was very low to start with and I wound up raising the car this way. But after all this I still took the car in to a damn good speed shop and had them corner balance and align the car to my specs. With the amount of adjustability of these shocks, it`d be foolish not to go that extra step. It not all that expensive to get it done either. His FLT-A2's don't loose piston travel from what I remember of their website (but my SF1's do)? Ziel Motorsports installed them and it was slammed. It looked real good but after some high speed pot holes and low speed dips I raised them 1/2".

They can if you lower the spring perch. But the height can also be adjusted with the threaded carrier that attaches the shock (not the shock tower end) to the car itself. It`s a whole other animal compared to the SF1`s in this respect.
