I was just wondering how big of a tire can fit on a 17x7 in rim. I was wondering if 235/45/17 would fit? Also what is the widest tire that will fit on the back of a FC?

Thanks

David

I'm gonna say a 225. Just be careful, too big of a tire especially a low profile tire can ruin handling and even roll the tire off the bead https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/blackeye.gif

A 265 can fit back there. Get it on a 9" or 9.5" rim with the PROPER offset and life should be good. :bigthumg: BTY, I don't run with this yet, so I can't say what is the best offset.

i am running 225 on a 17x8.5 rim up front. i'd say 225 but keep in a mind TII has 205/50/16 stock on 16x7 rims...

you want a 9" rim in the rear, 9.5 would prolly fit but a 265-40-18 is about the biggest that will fit without rubbing

The diameter of the 205/55R16 T2 stock tire size is just under 24.9". 255/40/17 is a smidgen over 25". The 265/40/17 is just about 25.35". 265/40/18 will be about 26.35". Just something to consider. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

you can fit a 245 on the rear for drag racing... but don't expect to be cornering with it
