hey guys, i was wondering what kinda offset and how much rubber i can fit under the finder if i crimp it on my FD. im looking anywhere from 235 to 255 in the font and 255-285 in the back. i understand that there are setups that are like the "carolson setup" or something, ive never heard of them as im a newb lol, help? what kinda offset do i need for these tires? i havnt decided on 17s or 18s for the fd but im leaning twards 17s. if i crimp my fender can someone pls help me out in what i need to do? also im thinking about MS02 mazdaspeed rims. help me out here, pls

thanks

russell

get aftermarket toe links and trailing arms..... according to chuck from rotary extreme, you're able to add another inch of tire towards the inside if you buy that setup. also, i would do some research on the running gear forum on proper offset, actually rishie has a pinned topic on proper offset.

Like i said before,

255/35 with a offset of 50+ will not rub up front.

285/30 50+ will work as well. No rubbing!

so thats a 9 inch wheel in the front, 10 in the rear. Thats a good bit of rubber for this small of a car. Planty for me anyways.

Stock suspension?

what size does the ms02 come in?

I don't see that wheel on the Rays site anymore. Is it discontinued?

Ideal setup for a daily driver/track vehicle IMO is a 9 and 10. Exactly what Robert has.

i was looking in an old SCC mag (dec 2001) the rx-7 in the g-games used 275/40-17 on 17x10 inch CCW wheels. now granted its set up for autocross and road racing and rubbing at lock isnt a concern but how do you make that fit up front? thats some mad meats yo!!
