To be more specific...I need my 1991 15" wheels to have the center bore (centering ring) machined out to a larger diameter? Can that be done by a machine shop? Will it do anything to the wheels structural rigidity?

i don't know if its possible but why ?

I am running the H&R spacers for the 99 spec wheels, but I wanted to put my OEM 15" on for winter. the center bore is different for the two wheels. So the spacer centering hub will not fit with the OEM wheel. I dont want to take the spacer off b/c its not easy to do (they tend to seize on because its aluminum) So I just wanted to get my OE's machined to fit the spacer.

Just wondering if this is a dumb/possible idea or not

If it's that much of a a hassle to pull the spacers out you might want to find a GOOD shop to do it.

Sure, it can be done. I've bored out a few center bores on a few sets of wheels. Just find a good machine shop. Should be around $50-100 to do.
