My dash is all cracked to hell and back, and I've resigned myself to never finding a nice 74 dash in the U.S. It hit me today, that some dashes I saw on ausrotary DO look symmetrical, so I'm wondering if I'd be able to use one sourced from Oz. Any ideas?

I would pay serious money for a crack free dash pad. Aside from the rear glass, it's the only part that seems to be unavailable. Recovering will work, but it's a hell of a job to get a completely cracked dash halfway straight so that the upholstery guy can start working on it.

Yeah, mine's cracked clear through, right in the middle, and the only thing holding the two halves together is the little bit of 16-ga sheet that serves as a core support. It could be right, someday, but I'm hoping to find an alternative.
