My Bro wants extra power on his RX-8. But there are a couple of problems, the Greddy kit has some questionable quality and the pettit superchager is mucho dinero ($$$) A remote mounted turbo would circumvent emission problems and be a bit cheaper any recommendations on such a set up?

hmm, usually i dont think those remote units are a good idea, but for the rx8 it might be. theres a TON of room where the muffler goes, and it already generates a ton of heat back there.

make the boost pipe out of copper, and you might not even need an intercooler...

hmmm....

with proper ducting you could make an undercar v or h mount, think of the air velocity down there it'd be perfect

Cool thanks for the thoughts guys. We all know rotary engines run hot so there should still be a ton of energy at the muffler to run the turbo.

there was a recall, because the muffler/exhaust starts melting the car, heat is fine. tons of room too, stock mufflers HUGE.
