I know of cars that run w/out em, but i feel like you will go through engine mounts fairly quickly. I forgot to put mine on, so i just put two jacks under the motor and raised it up a little. Make sure to loosen the nuts on the mounts, or other wise you'll just raise up the whole car. Do one side at a time, leaving the nut, just bearly on the side you're not workin on, in order to ensure it wont slip out. Have some 2x2 pieces of wood and a few prybars for leverage to help you manuver it back to the right place.

hope that made some sense.

Yeah, it sure does...sounds like I had to do to change the oil pan.

Good point on it tearing up the mounts sooner. I have the comp mounts...but hell...I better suck up my mistake and go fix it.
