I would try to reuse the stock mounting points. Just arbitraily drilling through the floor pan can lead to bad things such as drill through a fuel line or brake line. Certain parts of the floor are not reinforced and is just sheet metal, if you were to get into an accident that skinny *** sheet metal isn't going to hold up to your weight plus the acceleration. Remember to use only grade 8 or 12.9 fasteners (bolt, washer, and nut), not just bolt, and torque it down correctly.

I would take out the runners already there and try to mount them to the new seats whatever way possible and then bolt the whole lot back in the stock position. In a crash, it's not the seat that holds you, it's the seatbelt - on my car, each seat is simply attached to the 3mm aluminium floor with 4 small bolts.

yeah i would take the rails off the stock seats and adapt them to the new seats, or buy after market rails to fit the new seats in your car
