Car Sounds Like A V8 At Idle

ok after my car warms up 20 min. or so.first it stays at 1500 rpm then when it drops down to 900 then it starts to shake the car andf idles like a camed out v8.what do u think it could be i checked most of the vac lines maybe a sensor?help please

does it sound like its struggling to idle? Maybe your fuel mixture is messed up. Does it ever kill?

no it doesnt kill but after i drive it then shut it off then try to start it back up right away i have to give it gas

when your "giving it gas" are you putting the pedal to the floor?

it runs fine when i'm doing normal driving all the power is still there

My last motor sounded like a v8 with a cam at idle. Boost guage bounced at idle like it had a large streetport. It was broken apex seals. I guess I should have asked you if the motor is heavily ported?
