im trying to buy new rims soon... bbs either rgr or rsgt... i cant really tell the difference but i think maybe its just that the rgr is one piece and rsgt is two?



since my car is dark red with a black lip, im trying to make it looks completely evil with red and black only. definitely going to powder coat fmic when i get it.



but I dont know anything about color and im having a hell of a time finding my answer.



i want it to be like a dark silver. ive seen pictures of gunmetal but they just kinda look dark gray and not very shiny. flat black is not very pretty either. im currently using stock rims powdercoated and they are not very shiny... looks like spare tires. and the stock rims are just ugly.

im not sure how a gloss black would look, guess i'll do some photoshoping. but im wondering if "diamond black" is what im looking for or maybe something darker... cuz i dont want it to be too bling.

school computers dont have photoshop but i tried fireworks.

 

i think rims come in anthracite and hyper black. those might be closer to what your looking for.

 

Is your car stock red (VR)?



I believe it is Gunmetal, Hyper Black, Dark Silver, or Anthracite.



The shiny-ness isn't dependant on the color per say.

I'm a big fan of Gunmetal BTW, half my jewelry is Gunmetal instead of silver or Gold.



Awesome Idea. Keep the lip silver, or do it all Gunmetal.

my car is laser red. of course in extreme florida sunlight it doesnt look too good. in regular light or at night it looks much better than vr

 

i would go with gunmetal with a silver or chrome lip... you can't go wrong that way

 

is that yanni's old car? its so clean.

 

Im kinda confusd as to what your looking for. As an option there is also a colour called "Black Chrome". It almost looks like anodized black. Gives it a shiny black polished look.
