I guy i know from school. pulled up next to me in his dohc vetc del slow. This is like the 4th day after i got my 93 r1. he held up $20 wanting to run um. and i told him i didn't want to take his money. (that was stupid) But he didn't want me to race him, he wanted me to race the stock auto. z28 behind him. I took all their money and showed the z28 what a pus he is.

I raced a Z28 SS 3 years ago on the highway in my other convertible, running 15 PSI on the stock turbo, full exhaust, and intake. I kept letting him catch up to me while I did 100 in 4th, but then I would just leave him.

 

3 years ago??? so was it an Lt1 car or an LS1 car?



The LS1's tend to be faster...

But have heard the LT1's top end is better but the LS1's off the line seem to make the lt1's top end not really make a difference...

In MM&FF an 02 Camaro SS 6 spd turned 316hp on the dyno at the wheels. Ran 13.22 at 107mph into a 14 mph head wind!!

yeah the 99's had the LS1. the 6 spd cars will run mid 13's all day long with a good driver.

I have seen personal bests of 12.9 and 13 flat....
