so i start my car this morning, and it makes the funniest, most terrible noise, and it sounds like its coming from the exhaust area. so i look under the car, dont see much. i open the hood, and the sound is near the turbo, sounds like spoons in a disposal. so i think "CRAP! my turbo went out." so i drive it through the lot, and i push 5.5 psi, so the turbo is working. i park it, and turn it off, and the car is still idling at 1K, making that funny noise. so i'm really scared, and turn off the fuel pump....and it still runs! i put it in gear, try to kill the engine, and it still runs. fine i'm killing the spark, i think to myself, and pull the negative terminal, and it shuts off.

so after thinking about it, and recalling that noise after starting my car again, it seems my starter just kept on starting, and never stopped, lol. well, it worked, started up the second time no problems, and i drove it to work. so, my starter is going out, just a matter of time before i have to replace it.

oh yeah, and on the way to work, my oil pressure dropped to like 2 psi, and that really concerns me. at idle it runs 15-30 psi, and at 4K or so, it runs 45 psi, with 50 the max i ever see. is this bad? is it just my gauge? i dont know why it dropped so low this morning, i was doing 70 in 5th gear for like 20 minutes and looked down and saw teh needle barely above the zero mark.

Possibly a bad sending unit, hook up a mechanical gauge and check pressure. You might be lucky and its only the sending unit
