on a bridge ported 6 port at what rpm could i expect peak power? what are the three most important internal upgrade to handle higher revs?

Peak power will be over 9,000 rpms. Extra clearances. From rotor bearings to front and rear main bearings. Keeping the oil temperature down. I have gone as far as installing a small fan on the oil cooler. your going to need to properly torque every engine bolt and even lock tight them. Oil pump installation is very important using the proper torque. check the slack in the oil pump, If you have more then 12mm slack back and forth, replace the chain with a new one. Your going to need a high volume oil pump. Keeping your water temperature down is also very VITAL to the engines survival. Upgrade your radiator. properly clearance every engine seal and you will have a happy 6 port bridgeport beast.

 

If everything is Built properly, what is the cause of the decrease in life that everybody talks about with Bridgeported motors. I know that any 9k+ rpm motor wont last long, but is there anything else?

 

the judge is rigth do the rigth procedures and youll have a good lasting engine

 

um i think there are some misconceptions there.

1. they used to all use the carbon apex seals, which last about 40-60k no matter what

2. if you cut the water seal, and use silicon/hylomar/ snot to hold it together eventually it will start leaking water

3. the bridge can eventually fatigue and fail



my friends bp rx3 went for 40k+ miles and it didnt have any special parts in it, made peak power over 10k, 40k is a lot of weekends

What are your thoughts on needing hardened stationary gears? I've been told anything over 9.5K there a must?

 

Oh and Ito..I dont see a list of pricing on your website, I'm not sure if you like to give them out online, etc. I'm just curious how much your charge to work your port magic, bridgeporting? On a 4 port? 6port secondaries? Thanks alot.
