Yea I want to clear some **** up with someone who is telling me they are going to do this. Is this possible? Could u run 2 turbos and superchargers in parrelell, i mean run the turbo's off belts not exhaust.

 

Slap a belt on the turbines!

 

The vortex super charger is basicly a turbo compressor housing with a overdrive gear system to up the comprssor wheel rpm's... It would be a **** load of work to try and make somthing like this yourself because the compressor wheel needs to spin in the 10,000 - 120,000 rpm range to generate boost and any kind of belt tension on the saft is going to kill the bearings in the turbo real quick..



But tell them I said good luck..

 

i remember reading about diesel trains and it has a clutch on the turbo because it doesnt spin it up fast enough with exhaust gas

Don't think it can be done. Better to just buy a turbo. That guy is an idiot. I have a vortech supercharger off a mustang sitting in my garage. Looks like the compressor section of a turbo with a gear drive on the backside.

 

Hes got a prelude engine it a 4 door accord with a motec( i think its a motec?) ems. The rest is stock. He has a couple huge turbos though, but he really doesn't know his ****.

 

i want that motec, just swap it with an s4 na ecu when he's not looking
