you need a supercharger then.but like 1revvin said it all depends

yonner 02-09-2004 10:50 AM

the idea of the twin turbo is for the smal one on the rx7 to kick ina t low reves and the big one to kick in roud about 4 and my goals for the car are to have it fast in top speed but acceliration is more important to me

94touring 02-09-2004 11:06 AM

Ok, well if you want a huge powerband from 4k to 8k with top end that pulls forever, the t-78 will make you satisfied.

You should of given us a bit more info. What's your rwhp goal range? Is this going be a street car, drag car, drift car?

yonner 02-10-2004 05:04 PM

its gona be run in the streets everyday its gona be drifted out in the contry roads at the weekends as far as drags concernd only on the roads i just want huge power from the moment i put ma foot down

g_dripht-alex 02-10-2004 05:39 PM

a t-78 is gonna be to huge to drift, your gonna get into your powerband and just spin.

T66 would be good for your needs.

Ask some of the forum members who have experience with em.

g_dripht-alex 02-10-2004 07:21 PM

i also belive a t-66 would be way to huge for his needs, you cant maxamize your entry and exit speed with a turbo that big becuase you cant step on the gas without spin'ing out.

GarageBoy 02-10-2004 07:43 PM

GT35/40 would be good, hell, a decent T04S would work

bleh i misread his post, i thought he was daily driving this thing and drifitng it on weekends. not dragracing it to, my bad.

rmaiersg 02-10-2004 09:34 PM

are you looking for like 400 hp or like 600hp? What's huge to you? With a T04 you can make 400 hp and lag is not a big problem.

exactly why i asked his hp range before

redfdforme 02-11-2004 05:20 PM

tell me if i'm wrong but isn't a turbonetics t66 the equivalent of a greddy t78. i have the t66 and thats what i've been told all this time. damn liars!! lol lol

my spools up pretty quick but does give huge power... maybe too much for drifting but definitely enough for draggin.

not the same.

rx-7addict 02-12-2004 01:51 PM

GT40r. Should give you plenty of power but spool faster than T-78

Super_Dude 02-12-2004 01:59 PM

60-1 should be fine it will make the power he wants and lag isnt an extreme probly. 400 rwhp without to much lag is good.

yonner 02-12-2004 03:13 PM

i am only gona be dragin and drifting when i am out just driving like with firends but it has to be good for town driving and i want power as soon as i step on the accelerator

4RotorRocket 02-12-2004 04:00 PM

Again I ask what is your hp range?

they're on complete opposite sides of the spectrum, what are you looking to run 1/4 mile wise?

complete opposites. No such thing as a Drag/Drift turbo unless your THAT good at drifting.

4RotorRocket 02-19-2004 12:56 PM

Did you find what turbo your looking for?If you want power as soon as you put your foot down then go with upgraded twins.
