I don't know how corrosive the methanol is so I'm not sure what type of material to use. Can I make one out of carbon fiber, fiberglass, aluminum, steel? Is there something I can coat the inside of it with? Thanks for your time, Ryan.

I've never had a problem with plastic ones. Steel is going to be too heavy. Al would be fine.

I was wanting to use carbon or fiberglass so that I could completely fill the cavaty behind the rear panel in the hatch area (where the rear wiper tank is). I had hoped to avoid steel at all cost, but aluminum would be fine. Just alot of work with the hammer and dolly plus a little welding.

Does anyone know if it's possible to line a feberglass tank with some sort of coating to keep the methanol from eating away at the resin? I've seen gas tanks for bikes made out of carbon so I assume it's possible for methanol.

Thanks, Ryan.

I didn't see anything on that site to answer the question, and for some reason it won't open an account to ask questions on the forum. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

I already have a kit minus the tank. I wanted to make my own to utilize all the room that I can. I just want to make sure that the methanol won't eat away at the inside of the tank.

Steel and aluminium no good methnol corrosive. Stainless steel ok carbon or glass should be ok.

You can use the rear wiper resevoir and it will hold a liter and a half. This would last me months with a 1.0 aquamist jet and 12psi turn on.

Ya, I think that's the route I'm going to have to go. At least until I get a definite answer on what won't degrade. Thanks, guys.

What type of performance improvements can one expect from a water injection system on a 13B turbo (10lbs boost on 110 race fuel)?

Any rejetting (blow through weber system)?

I used the water tank for the headlight washers from a 10AE. It holds 1.5 gal and it was made to handle Methanol. Close to the engine so no running hoses from back of car. Sits very low in the car too.

Intake temp charge should lower if not running an Intercooler, if running an intercooler you shouldn't see any temp rise when you nail it. You will also lower you're egts and be able to run a more aggressive tune. What is your complete setup?

In my experience I haven't had to rejet.
