I don't know how corrosive the methanol is so I'm not sure what type of material to use. Can I make one out of carbon fiber, fiberglass, aluminum, steel? Is there something I can coat the inside of it with? Thanks for your time, Ryan.

I've never had a problem with plastic ones. Steel is going to be too heavy. Al would be fine.

I was wanting to use carbon or fiberglass so that I could completely fill the cavaty behind the rear panel in the hatch area (where the rear wiper tank is). I had hoped to avoid steel at all cost, but aluminum would be fine. Just alot of work with the hammer and dolly plus a little welding.
Does anyone know if it's possible to line a feberglass tank with some sort of coating to keep the methanol from eating away at the resin? I've seen gas tanks for bikes made out of carbon so I assume it's possible for methanol. Thanks, Ryan. |

I didn't see anything on that site to answer the question, and for some reason it won't open an account to ask questions on the forum. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif they sell meth. inj. kits as well as the accessories...ie...tank, jets, pump, resevoir..... |

Steel and aluminium no good methnol corrosive. Stainless steel ok carbon or glass should be ok.

You can use the rear wiper resevoir and it will hold a liter and a half. This would last me months with a 1.0 aquamist jet and 12psi turn on.
