arent o2 sensors useless? or is it just me?
|
Its just you. Their not useless, 4 wire is better than the stock 1 wire for accuracy purposes. Really the only way is to use a wideband to dial it in perfectly. Stock sensors can give you a good idea where your at, especially if you've already used a wideband and have an idea what numbers you should be seeing from the stock 02 sensor.

yeah I want to get a wideband, but i'm not about to cough up the 1k for it
|
Yeah I wouldn't spend 1k on a wideband either. I took my car to the dyno and used theirs for a fraction of the price.

I can understand not wanting to spend the money on a wideband... but take it from someone who has had one all of 2 weeks. It's AMAZING how much you A/Fs change from day to night.... not to mention from summer to winter. It only takes a few hours on a dyno to pay for one. I love my FJO... I honestly think that if you have a single turbo and not a wideband you're playing Russian roulette... Jim |

I know a guy named Kyle that goes to school up there that said he met you, small world. Anyways, what kind of differences have you seen depending on ambiant temps? |

Doesn't ring a bell... hmmmm As for changes in A/F ... in the evenings I can see it change .6-.7 vs the daytime. If you're tuned on the edge... be very careful. I can tell you last year my car was tuned to 11.7 in the summer. I went back in October... same settings... it was at 13.1. I've wanted an FJO ever since that day. |
That must have been with your Supra right?...
