a fellow client of My Mech has a Vert with a T66 less then 3 months of use

if that..

He wants to sell it and get a ball bearing turbo cause he says

he does not like the lag (doesnt spool till 3K)

It's a .81 undivided

He is willing to sell it to me for $900

Price sounds good

But would it be overkill?

I'm just wanting 400-450 RWHP

My Mods in process

are 88 street port

1600cc sec

SX FPR

Walbro 255

E6K

FMIC

stock turbo for now

T66 is a really nice turbo. i'm not sure how much they go for new. you can call turbonetics.... the only problem once you get everything you need to make that turbo work. it would have been cheaper and easier to get a turbo kit

A T-66 is about $1200-1300 new. What trim is it? A .81 would spool up pretty quickly.

I wonder why your friend had such a hard time spooling with a .81 undivided?...That's odd...It should spool VERY fast...unless it's a "q" trim wheel.

T-66 is PERFECT for 400-450 rwhp...

I'm shooting for 19 psi at around 500 rwhp...of course...I' still have to buy the T-66 :P

The spooling problem may have had to do with a problem with his setup. I wonder when he would hit full bost?

Yeah, you're probably making boost at around 2000-2500 RPM's, right?
