I'm guessing its the turbo and not the motor. The fact there is standing oil on the out side of the turbo and not on the exhaust ports of the motor is a pretty big indication, but I could be wrong. Bet that thing let out some large smoke clouds.

Look for his thread inthe 2nd gen forum. Those were huge clouds.I say that turbo is toast.Too bad thats a nice one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

That is what my used s5 turbo looked like when I put in on, car smoked tons for a couple days, after that it went away. If you run the car good and try to burn that **** out and then take the turbo off and there is more than your turbo is probably bad. I don' t know, all i know is my whole damn car smoked when I first got it running again.

check the play on the turbo. Front to back and up and down.

What size is the oil line feeding into the turbo? Any restrictive pill in the line to help with pressure?

Well if its still stock feed and return, even with really high oil pressure it shouldn't be causing oil to shoot past the seals. You could try a restriction pill to see if it helps.
