I've got a garrett 60-1 hifi right now thats been damaged and am thinking of replacing it with a T04b. The turbo i'm considering is has a .60 a/r compressor housing 54mm trim with a 1.15 hotside.
My 60-1 hifi was a .55 a/r compressor P trim with a 1.32 hotside. I'm trying to limit my power output, i'm afraid of cracking my rear plate (i've got an S4), but I also want to make sure I'm going to have decent power with my half bridge port. Any input that will help with my decision would be great. Thanks, Chris |
I'd go with something at least 60mm

What do you mean by too small? When I hear someone say that I think: small = choking on too small of an exhaust side.
As far as too small of a compressor wheel, its not too small. |
to small as in, it going to get me near my 500hp goal or it only going to put me in the 350-400hp range?

i plan on putting 400rwhp at like 14psi on a t04b with those exact specs. someone on rx7club with almost my same exact setup did 404rwhp at 14-15psi on a t04b. hope that helps.
ps thanks by the way, i couldnt remember what specs my turbo was...friggen ebay. |
I wouldn't try for 500hp on a B on a E you could get 500 flywheel hp tho.

if it looks bigger then stock then it is fine
|
you're trying to limit your hp to 500hp at the flywheel?
