Hey guys i just bought this turbo... I dunno exactly which turbo it is... but the guy i bought it from said that it is ball bearing...I sat in his FD boost build up was good..

please tell me which turbo it is if anyone can make out..

Also how much HP should i expect from it on my FD..

Its very late in the night and the only thing i could get to give an idea of the size of the turbo is a Gillette MachIII ...i think it is the same size worldover https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Please help me in identifying this turbo...

Thanks

Measurements, we need measurements. Start pulling it apart and use a vernier caliper to give some wheel measurements, inducer and exducer on both compressor and turbine wheels. I am sure someone will chime in on what it is.

To4e compressor, possibly a 57T wheel. Show a pic of the exhaust side.

Will try my best to show the exhaust side but the guy i bought it from welded a flange to it so the view is somewhat obstructed...

He also said that it was an HKS unit... How much HP should i expect from this turbo on my FD... How much difference would i feel considering i am upgrading from stock twins at 10 psi....

Also the guy did not give me any measurements can i measure myself.. how do i do that??

thanks

Dunno, if those specs are for your turbo. Pull the bolts that hold both the compressor housing and the ones that hold the turbine housing; use a ruler and measure across the top of the wheel as precise as possible from tip to tip on both the widest part (exducer) of the wheel and the smallest part of the wheel (inducer) and post the measurements (crude method). A vernier caliper would be even better to measure it with. Someone here will certainly be able to help. There is a thread about a similar turbo info request and he got a ball park idea as to the turbo he has.

Dont be afraid to pull stuff apart, thats the only way to understand how things operate. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png Just dont damage the wheels while pulling it apart. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

Pictures say alot more than words. I took the liberty of taking some pics. showing what is required. Now don't pull your wheel off like this https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png , I had this one sitting in the garage. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

Compressor Inducer measurement = 58.22

boost_creep 04-14-2004 12:35 PM

Compressor exducer measurement = 84.00mm

From the measurements I can tell you this is a T58 wheel.
