I need some bolts that hold the turbine to the chra that are about 1/2" longer than stock (these are the ones that go through the c-shaped clips and into the exhaust housing). Are these bolts made of any kind of special material, or are they "heat treated" in any special way (they definitely look different compared to a grade 8 or S/S). How do I identify them to a vendor?

Also, if anyone knows of a source (vendor) that carries them, please post a name, address, etc....

Thanks,

Steve C.

Replying to own post for posterities sake:

After several days of research...

The bolts are 8mm x 1.25 x 16mm

ASTM A193, Grade B16 for high temprature, high pressure

(-50deg F - 1100deg F). ASTM is American Society for

Testing and Measuring.

So far, no one in ATL has them. Not Home Depot, not

Threads for the South, not Barnett Performance, and

no one on the SE-RX7 list has a dead turbo to donate <sigh>

Turbonetics phone has been busy for 2 days https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

I'm going back to Threads for the South tomorrow. They

said they have something called a B8... After more research,

it turns out the B8's are better (higher temps, stronger, even

corrosion resistant) than the B16's... We'll see. Prolly be

$9 a bolt....

Stay tuned. More exciting stuff to come
