Searched lots about this, but have no definet answers. Is it the same as a T51, but with a slightly smaller exhaust housing. Hey Jspecracer, you should know the answer!!

There are a couple different variations, JSpec and I have the same size which is a .72 A/R and a .96 exhaust. The T51 is slightly larger but not by much. The Kits were designed by HKS and have 2 different manifold configuartions as well, one has a straight configuration, the other has a slightly turned manifold approx 15° off the center.

actually Sean, I have the .84 compressor with a 1.04 exhaust.

The HKS T-45S has a larger exhaust wheel than a turbonetics "Q" trim wheel(not by much). I don't have any numbers, but a visual assessment shows only slightly larger than the Q.

The actual wheel is smaller than I first thought. I asked IGY and Chris about why this is...they said that it's for high boost effeciency(or something of that nature).

At .8 kilos boost, it's "fun". Turn it up to 1.0 kilos and it "gets it". 1.2 kilos is damn near scary at times. With 275 Nitto's, I can chirp going from 1st to 2nd gear.

With a street ported motor with a decent sized exhaust port, expect to boost at 5000 rpms. Also expect to shift at around 9000+ rpms. I'm sure it will go higher, since it feels like it wants to keep going but just for "safety's" sake I shift at 9k.

It's a very "laggy" turbo. At appx 4500 rpms, you'll be at .4~ kilos boost. At 4800 .6 kilos boost. By 5000 rpms, it will take the hell off.

FWIW, I also have a 4.7 final gear which may help(or not) get things going a bit faster.

yeah my bad, we have the same size, mine just has no markings on it, the other size is the one I sold to White FC boy there, it was the smaller version.
