Ok I found this turbo on the rx7forum and the guy said that this is a brand new HKS T04R turbo. He is asking $1000 shipped for it, and was just ondering what you'r guys oppinion is on it. I went to Cheapturbo.com, and saw the same turbo for about $100 less. Is this buy worth it or not. please give me yor opninion. here are some pics of the turbo...

I have the HKS version and when I had to get it rebuilt the bearing bolt holes didnt line up with the hks version center and I had to buy a new center. Bottom line is that its a garret turbo either way. I have the .81 hot side and a clipped wheel but thats the way it came from hks in the kit. I might get a 1.00 divided housing to go with the didvided manifold I have one day. The cheapturbo one might not have the "bullet" nut on the compressor. The bullet nut on mine backed off but didnt come all the way off, luckly I stopped, And thats why I needed a rebuild. FP advised me to use a regular compressor nut for reliability. The bullet nut is nothing more than a chunk of machined aluminum with helicoil in it. Hope that helps a little

FWIW, I just bought my turbo and V-band setup from Cheapturbo.com Ken seems like a great guy and even offered advice for fabbing the manifold. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
