I just finished install the turbo and fuel system, when i started the car and fuel was dumping out the exhaust. I didnt have the wastegate on right then so it was coming out that hole. I had a good size puddle under my car. I could smell mad gas so I know it was gas. The motor was fine before I started this conversion. This is the fuel system at the time : aeromotive FPR, 1300cc sec (used) 550cc primary, fuel pressure at a low 30 psi at the time, ohh I had the nipondenso pump also.PFC was used to start.
any help would be great, Matt |
ive seen 1300's stay wide open and pour out like that. if you bought them used, maybe you know why they were being sold now. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

i dont understand... what answer are you looking for? if you are asking WHY it happened.... we cant really answer that for you. if you want to know what set is leaking, try not installing the rails and jump the pump. it should be obvious. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Is there any way I can test my system for leaks BEFORE I install my motor? Could I just run hoses to the lines while the motor is on the stand and turn the key and check for leaks? Sorry, not trying to hi-jack the thread |
yeah, if you can get the lines hooked up thats fine. you should presurize it before starting anyway to test for leaks. the pipe threads may leak your first attempt and with AN fittings, you realy should check them regulary because they will come loose.
