what clutch would you guys reccomend? i 've got a 60-1 with a vmount and pfc... plus all the other goodies... running 1300's.... um, i might take the car to the track once or twice, but mostly it will be around town... some spirited driving on the street and all that too..... so what do you think? i just don't want to burn out a normal full face clutch, but i don't want it to be really harsh like a six puck, hence the reason i would get the sprung six puck......

i run an unsprung 6 puck on the street. its fine and all, but Harrison(vspecpgt..my best friend) wants it to be a little bit more user friendly.

Don't even bother asking if I have ever driven one, or that if I have did I know what I was doing... you can be assured that I have, to say the least.



The puck clutches are only good for roadracing. Drag racing and street conditions should use a organic disk. They are much more user friendly.

so i should just get the full face plate huh? i knew i didn't want a unsprung 6 puck, but i've hear good things about the sprung six puck... then again, i'm sure the full face will be just fine for me....

also... 12 lb flywheel.... or 9.5 lb????

I had a 9.5# Flywheel and a Street Strip ACT in my TII w/ 250RWHP. It was a breeze to launch and would cut 1.8 second 60' as well as being fun to drive on the street.



I now have a stock FD flywheel and a sprung 6 puck w/ ACT extreme PP and 320 RWHP and cannot cut anything below a 2.0 second 60' the car is a total bitch to launch good. Plus its a bitch to drive on the street. It bearable but it gets old. Chattering out of red lights looking like you dont know how to drive stick. Especially when it heats up it really grabs and taking off from lights is not longer something you do in the back of your mind. You have to think about something as simple as a red light.

I would love to go back to the Street Strip setup w/ a lightweight flywheel. I shudder to think what it would be like to launcg my 6 puck w/ a 9# flywheel.

Dont do IT !!! , I had a six puck with an ACT extreme pressure plate and JUN racing 10.5# flywheel. That combo wac F@#!ing harsh on the street , especially in traffic , also the higher revs required with the light flywheel and the added abrasion of the clutch disc destroyed the pressure plate prematurely , I think the best set up (what I am installing now) is an OS GIKEN twin (or tripple) disc clutch.
