Hey guys I just got here from the rx7 scene. I just bought the profec b and installed it. When I went to set the profec b it acted very wierd. First of all I never had to move the control nobsfor the high and low settings. All I had to do was adjust the balance. Also when I got into fifth gear the car would over boost to 1 bar(13 psi). I called a couple of shops about this and they told me that there were two things I could do. One open my wastegate 20%to 30% above stock. Two go with a slightly larger turbo with an external wastegate. I was thinking and wanted to know if I could just increase my fuel. If so will I need larger secondaries, a pump, and afuel controller or just a pump for now? Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated.

If you're using stock twins then you should have enough fuel for about 14-15 PSI if you get an ECU upgrade. What other mods do you have? You should have a good intercooler for higher boost levels.

Going with a big single turbo is going to require ALOT of "extras."

Soory guys didn't mean to confuse you. I have a 90 TII. I have an N1 exh., air intake, a rb downpipe( waiting to install), fcd, and turbo timer. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The Profec B Should allow you to control the boost I would think.

Yes, it wil allow me to control the boost, but only to increasee it above stock not to decrease it. With the way it is now the only thing that I can do is increase becuase it is at the min. setting in high and low boost positions.

You could try porting your wastegate to prevent spikes. Are you sure that you have your Profec B hooked up properly? What was your maximum boost before you installed it?

My max boost was at stock level (8.5psi) I believe. You see I couldn't be sure because all I had was the stock boost guage before I installed it. I got the boost guage a day after installation so that I could set it. Although I do think that even w/o the profec b I was overboosting in 5th gear.

If the Profec is hooked up properly then run the car with it turned off. That will tell you what your baseline boost will be.

I'm not familiar with electronic boost controller but i do know if you make the vacuum line too long from the waste actuator to the stepped motor or what ever greddy uses you'll have more spike and creep.

For example, i have a turboxs manual boost controller. When I made the vacuum line too long with the controller i would get spikes and a huge creep on fifth gear. The shorter the line between the signal and the actuator is , the better the boost control.

Does that unit have fuzzy logic? or that the profec a
