I just got my oil pan off so I can take it to get an -10 AN bulkhead fitting welded in - tomorrow if I get a reply fast enough (which was a freakin BITCH and a half). Anyways, I need to know the best place for me to get it welded into. I'm sure some of you have done this before and know what location on the pan works out the best. I have to order a new gasket; should I get one of those baffles while I have it off?

Thanks,

~Aaron

just weld the -10 AN weld fitting onto the stock return line! That's what I will be doing. Now I've got a -10 hose clamped on the return line https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Yeah, the stock return line is the best way to go about it.

Mother of GOD you have to be kidding me... Some other people told me to tap into the oil pan (a couple of local performance shops) and I read it somewhere on the Rx7 Club a few times as well... What a PITA if that's what I was supposed to do in the first place.

Yep nothing hard about it. I too have a 10an clamped on the return line.

HAHA, fair enough... I never really checked this place out before; there appears to be a lot less ricey posts and I'm hoping to find a lot more knowledge. The rx7forum is constantly down too...

Anyways, I'll let ya know how it turns out.

haha, I just replied to your same thread over on the other forum. tap the front cover. I know you don't want to hear that but it's the best way.

Where on the front cover would you tap? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

I guess on NA's there is already a little circle that someone could drill out and tap into. On mine I can just weld the -10 AN fitting into the hard-pipe that comes out of the front plate then bolt that stock pipe back on. Pretty much I removed my SOB oil pan for no reason https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif Oh well, I'm sure it taught me something, right?? Probably to check around a lot more before I do something...
