....it is a bad-ass rubber line w/ steel mesh and it failed while on the road; it wasn't thermal resistance as first thought. Insignificant damage as I was saved by the good graces of a fellow who saw I was on fire, stopped me, and dumped his 48 qt. cooler of melting ice and cold water. (note to self - go to Wal-Mart and buy fire extinguishers)

I replaced the oil return line with custom machined s.s flanges and Swagelock brand s.s. braided line 3/8" I.D. at $55 for 8".

To replace the oil feed line, I want to use custom bent s.s tubing w/ 1/4" I.D. from the turbo back 8" and connect to the remaining existing line. Does that sound OK? Will this be sufficient for oil flow and durability? Thanks to all you single turbo RKI's.

You had Aeroquip / Russell / Earls braided stainless line fail from heat? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png This is not good! I think almost everyone uses that.

I think your idea should work, but I would be a little concerned about vibration working the fittings loose. Mazda could have eazsily done that, but you can see they used some rubber line.
