We've been listening to all you guys out there who want a little more power so this is what we've come up with, what we've done is taken everything we've learned with the 35/40 and made something we think will be even better. This turbo should provide almost identical response to the 35/40 but we're looking at making around 50hp more at similar boost levels, those are conservative #'s, there is a great chance we will see more. The new turbos are going to be called GT70R's, They are a garrett based turbo and use garrett parts. These will be available very shortly. If you have any questions you can call or email the shop.

Hmm interesting. Are there any details about the turbo size and setup that will allow it to be just as responsive as the gt35/40 and provide more power at street boost levels that you can reveal now?

What about this? Is Jason smoking his mom again?

Is this yours Sean

Oh I didn't read between the lines, "The new turbos are going to be called GT70R's". I was hoping this was going to be a single turbo. Though 50 more HP at the same boost levels is tempting......

TYSON 03-17-2003 08:00 PM

I think he hopes to sell more than one. Hence the plural usage https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yeah thats true, we'll see though.

But hey check out the price on those turbo's.....i'll take 5 kits!!

94touring 03-17-2003 08:38 PM

Well I was wrong, the a-spec twin kit is either made up of gt25's or gt28's.

A-spec Tuning 03-17-2003 09:07 PM

I can tell you that it will be a garrett GT full ball bearing center section, and it will use garrett turbine and compressor components, it will also be similar in size to the 35/40. My goal was to get another 40-50hp at as close to 35/40 performance as possible.

Thanks,Sean

Post more info Sean!!!!!!!!!!!

rx7machine 03-18-2003 12:14 AM

Is the 40-50hp increase suppose to be for each turbo on this a-spec kit? What's the total expected hp for this kit? What psi levels produce the best results? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

rx7machine 03-18-2003 12:22 AM

Oh yea, and how much is the a-spec kit going to cost? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif That's been driving me crazy.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

So, sorry for the late response, it's been slammed here as of late, there are no numbers yet, it has to be installed on my car then we will do some testing but using some math, it looks pretty good we will see, as for the twin kit it's ready to go, just haven't had time to test it either, If you guys are interested in the twin kit please call, otherwise I would prefer to keep this thread on the GT70R.

Thanks,Sean

What mathimatical formula are you using to calculate the 50hp gain over the gt 35/40 turbo kit? Are your predictions/calculations based upon CFM, Compressor map, efficiencey, and/or very low BSFC? If so, could you provide me with your mathimatical equations/calculations to support your claimed hp gain? Are your exh. manifolds tuned for the engine pulse of the rotary engine to maximize the gain you claim? If so, what would the estimated length and diameter of the tubing of the exh. manifold be?

93 R1 03-21-2003 06:53 AM

Sounds like someone is trying to build their own kit https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

neoamd 03-21-2003 10:08 AM

Yep ^^ I gotta see a dyno vid of "these" kits.. if its what i expect ill be nutting my pants..
