Just though I'd post some pics of my new set-up . It's got a new reman with a huge street port and RA 2mm seals. The turbo kit is the A-Spec AP-88 turbo kit - Shooting for over 400 rwhp - we'll see. Everything else is more or less self explainatory. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png .

That is EXACTLY what I want my set up to look like. Beautiful. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

It's the JIC brace. The paint on the end brackets started to peel, so I had them chromed.

No problem... here's a few of the car and one of the turbo when I first got it.

Fd3BOOST 10-06-2005 05:28 PM

Thats a nice car you got there. Good luck with the turbo.

rowtareh 10-06-2005 07:03 PM

I agree, that car looks great. How come you don't have a FMIC or VMIC? I am kind of confused?

And that is a sexy engine bay, I could grill a steak on that.

I love white FD's. Very nice set up... one day mine will be similar

Because he has a SMIC.

Stock mounts work just as good as anything else. noob

knonfs 10-07-2005 07:01 AM

I don't want this to turn into a SMIC/VMIC/SMIC debate, but from my experience they seem to all perform almost identical to each other regardless of what someones personal preference is. This is the IC that I had on the car with the twins and I decided to keep it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png.

Thanks for all the compliments guys... should have this thing tuned in the next few weeks. I have 600 miles on the break-in so far.

They are right dude. Which style intercooler really makes little difference.

rowtareh 10-07-2005 05:54 PM

HEY HEY HEY. I was just curious. Not even trying to start a debate. I have nothing to debate about because I don't have any experience with turbo'd rotaries.

Just curious, as I see more people with FMIC or a VMIC. Thanks for the help.

KingFD 10-08-2005 07:04 PM

Who makes that intercooler?

It's an ASP large IC that I had polished.

There are more people with FMIC and SMIC than with VMIC as VMIC are still pretty new and are expensive compared to the other two (depending on what you get). I was going to put a FMIC in but decided to go with a VMIC due to personal reasons and expectations for the car.

Please... when you polish a SMIC it drops temps almost 15 deg, no VMIC can touch that! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png .

Thanks for the compliment Sean... getting tuned November 12th.
