How many max PSI can you pump into a stock 13B motor before the apex seals get blown apart?.

Additionally, how many PSI will a stronger motor hold with 3mm seals and dowls and stuff? (max)

Umm 30-40psi on race fuel easily. 3mm doesn't matter, dowel pinning is usually only done when you are in the 600+ hp range.

Well also, it only takes a few psi to blow the apex seals apart, running lean or bad timing/tuning.

It also depends on the engine too.I hear T2 engines aren't up to taking boost as well as the REW and RE ones.

On S4 engine, the rear iron housing will crack at extreme levels. Problem fixed with s5 rear iron housing.

exactly, who wouldn't wanna run that kinda boost. my goal this summer is to run boost like tire pressure; 32 PSI baby!!! :bigok:

vosko 02-07-2003 12:25 PM

S5 engines are very similar to 13B-REW.... REW is still better but way more rare and more expensive

vosko 02-07-2003 12:26 PM

oh yeah i didn't get that new 29psi boost gauge for nothing https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif
