The problem right now is the downpipe and the BOV.



I need to make a downpipe for it. I was thinking of getting the other half of the vclap flange and clap from turbonetics, looks like the cheapest place.



Get a 3" downpipe from thurderfabrication and run a stright pipe from the turbo to the stock location of the 3"downpipe, ( cut the 3 hole flange and welded as one piece)

The only problem with this is when it come time for emmision testing i need to put back the cat, so i'll have to cut the pipe again to put my cat back on and put back the pipe as a mid pipe when done.



Had anyone used thunderfabriation. I have asked them as what type of metal is used for their downpipe and they haven't been specific with the metal type or number. I want something thick like racing beat downpipes, that will out-last the car.





The other problem is reusing my apex bov, i have the kit not the universal kit on my car. I need to get a aluminun flange for it but apex doesnt sell it by itself. I think may have to try to make one or get a new cheap bov.

Why don't you just put anpther 3 bolt flange on the pipe you're going to make?

But do they make a true 3" opening 3 hole flange?

The other thig is the wastegate discharge flange. Don't know if HKS sales the flange by itself but they do sale the flexable pipe if you want one but cost alot. You think any muffle shop might have it. I do want to plumbit back in.

The one on the RB downpipe isn't exactly 3" is it? You could always make a flange from 1/2" steel.

The wastegate should have come with a flange, but if it didn't you can get one. If you have trouble finding it then call Paisley Automotive in Hempstead, NY: 516-481-2815. They'll know exactly what you need, and they'll probably have it in stock. They do mail order now. So they should be able to ship it to you.

Making your own parts usually saves alot of money, AND it lets you get up and running quicker.
