I dont think i need the kinda of power from a T-78, the most i want is 400HP. Is the TD-06 easily capable of this HP within reasonable boost pressure? What kind of lagg does the GT 35/40 have?

1Revvin7 11-24-2002 09:49 PM

the BB one? i have heard not that much at all, thats why ppl are buying it, spools fast. Couldn't u get 400 with the stock twins?

Viper1308 11-24-2002 10:03 PM

I havent had my Power FC tuned yet and i have to get my flywheel upgraded, intake piping , ypipe, underdrive pulleys and Fludyne radiator. Wouldnt getting 400HP out of the stock twins require turning the boost up pretty high?

Viper1308 11-24-2002 10:03 PM

Also will the fludyne radiator fit with a greddy SMIC?

yes.... you can get 400rwhp from the stock twins around 15psi. it all depends on how long you want them to last though.............

With a td-06/25G and 1.0 kilos boost on a stock motor, a friend of mine was getting close to the 380 rwhp mark. It acted like a supercharger he said and had boost almost instantaneously(the smaller size exhaust flange). I would go with a t-04E and be happy at 15 psi and 400 rwhp.

The Fluidyne is a direct stock replacement. It will fit with any aftermarket ic kit designed for the car.

Goodie! That sounds good Jspec. What turbo are you running?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA....turbonetics 62-1....about 10% more air flow than a t-04S...and much cooler sounding... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

How much does the T 04 E go for?

Fd3BOOST 11-28-2002 12:19 AM

More than you have in your pocket right at the moment. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I always thought about getting the TD-07 25g but never really heard any good things about it or heard of anyone running it. But for an easy 400 rwhp I would go with the GT3540 or a T04R.

Actually it was a TD06/19C, that's why it spooled so fast.. A TD06/25G would actually do 400 and be about the same as a To4E, a TD07/25G would be similar to a TO4S or so.. The problem with Mitsubishi Turbo's is that they are expensive to get overhauled and the parts to do it your self are not readily available like Garet parts... So get a To4E

Wow, 19C...no wonder he had instant spool up...

You made a good point though...rebuilding a mitsuibishi turbo is probably impossible.
