Well I just recieved a phone call from the performance shop where they where supposed to be fixing a coule minor things. Well today I get a call in it has a whole lot of leaks,(coolant leak, tranmission leak, oil pan leak and the turbo's are leaking. He gave me an estiamte of 2K plus, this is just for the trans,oil and coolant leak, I'm going to have to buy new turbos. So I'm thinking how much money did you guys spend to go single, SHT If I'm going to buy new turbo's I my does well do the whole single conversion. So how can U guys give me some feedback on how much u guys spent or an estimate. I know it ain't cheap but help me out guys.

( by the way if u saw a post in the regional west coast section that was my friend who posted under my name, he just got his car out of the shop mine still there,)

2k just to fix trans,oil,and a coolant leak? What the hell is he doing, rebuilding the engine? **** my oil pan leaked oil like the valdez, cost me about 5 bucks to buy some silicon and seal that thing up. Sounds like you need to take it somewhere else first for a 2nd opinion. If you go single, expect to pay 3k for a turbo kit. You'll need a new computer, so we'll say another 1k minimum there. If you stay at stock boost without any other modications that may be all you really need to do. Otherwise you'll have to start upgrading injectors, fuel pumps, clutches, ect...

Just finished getting the To4R and all associated goodies.

to rebuild the motor, install fuel pump, injectors, and turbo kit was almost 12 grand. Christ, i bought this car because I didn't want to spend 50 on a used NSX...now I have over 40 in a RX-7? Must admit though it's faster than any NSX out there

So do you guys think he's charging me to much on getting my coolant, tranmission, and oil pan leak. I also think 2K+ is to much.

Christ, I hope 12k was for more than just a turbo kit, engine, fuel pump, and injectors. Must have charged you 5k for labor.

yes that is too much for those leaks. you can fix the coolant leak yourself and upgrade the radiator($400). call around and ask places how much to reseal your oilpan. i think he means a rear main seal leak when he is referring to the tranny leaking. they all do that too. is there a puddle everytime you park the car?

Well he specializes in rotaries. Alot people tell me that he's a bit pricey, Sht it IF I knew he was going to charge me that much I would've never went there. Yea I just found another shop it's called mr.mazda, I will be giving them a call to see how much he will charge me for leaks. (**** he was trying to charge me 4,800 for a reman motor, is he out oh his mind or what. the MR.Mazda shop was like 2800 for a reman motor with street port. Looks like I'll be going to Mr.Mazda ( my motor isn't gone but I just asked a guy who got his motor from there.

Turbo kit = 3k-4k

ECU = 1200-1500

Clutch = 500

New secondary injectors (1600cc) and rail = 400

New fuel pump = 300

Istallation/tuning on all parts = 1500 and up for all the parts listed above?

So after everything is said and done i would estimate you are going to drop about 7k-8k for everything...but that doesnt include a port either which you might want to think about with a single!

oh yeah and are you still running the stock IC?
