when going with a bigger turbo, what are some things im gonna need to add to my engine? I think right now i dont havestock i think i have a k5? such thing? thats what my bro keeps telling me. Im planningtogo with an apex turbo and it comes with a dp, wastegate, etc. so alli would need is a $1350 front mounted intercooler huh? Damn thats a lot of money

What's a k5? You'll need bigger injectors and an upgraded fuel pump, as well as an ECU to control everything. Apex only makes a 3rd gen kit. How much power are you looking for?

im looking for low a 13 daily driver. i dont know wtf a k5. The people that rebuil this engine about a year ago said they upgraded the turbo to a k5. And now i cant find these freaking people cause i wanna know what they did to my motor and i think my motor is still under warranty and i want it rebuilt before i do anything drastic.(Bigger Turbo, Fuel Management) For now all i have is a 3" dp, turbo timer, apex 3" single exhaust and the Fuel Cut Defenser (Off of fc3s.org) I know Im looking at spending a lot of money to spend but i gotta have something to keep me sane because my kids are driving me crazy. Any suggestions on which way to go with this would be a great asset to my project.

thanks

you can do 13's on stock turbo and a reprogrammed ecu or put in a s-afc and some bigger secondaries. a stock turbo @ 14-15lbs should be able to put down 230-250. if you get an upgraded stock turbo like my old one that i sold they are good for up to 320 hp. this time around i'm gonna run my stock S5 turbo and see how it does. then gonna go custom turbo kit either 13BAce's or make my own

Like vosko said, 13's can be done with the stock turbo, full exhaust, front mount intercooler, and ECU upgrade. A standalone ECU and bigger injectors would be ideal.

The new Greddy intercooler looks good. Standalone ECU's usually go for at leat $1200.

that intercooler is front mounted and i can rid of the stock TII intercooler on top of the engine bay and replace my hood w/ a vert's hood to make me a sleeper right? I heard the vert's hood will fit on my car, not the n/a models. True? How much for the intercooler, Around? How bout a apex'i one. Good?

apexi doesn't make any kits specifically for FC's your better off going with the greddy fmic its gorgeous. e.l. prototypes makes a pretty good ecu upgrade. its probably the same as the old g-force upgrade. i'm going the cheap way with my TII making a custom fmic, custom radiator etc
